The transportation of these heavy and over-dimensional railway assets involved careful planning, specialized handling, and close coordination across multiple stages of the logistics chain.
The project work scope covered: Road transportation from the supplier’s works to Mumbai Port; Export customs clearance and interacting at Mumbai Port; Specialized lifting arrangements and equipment; Ocean transportation from India to Mozambique using a heavy-lift geared vessel; Coordination with statutory authorities and key stakeholders.
