In a partnership between WALLENIUS SOL and DSV Independent in UmeĆ„, a regular trailer flow now passes through the Port of SkellefteĆ„, connecting TravemĆ¼nde, Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Tilbury.

Trailers are initially loaded in TravemĆ¼nde and Zeebrugge, with goods intended for industries in Northern Sweden. Subsequently, these same trailers are reloaded with export cargo and dispatched to their respective destinations, as provided by WALLENIUS SOL. The liner service from SkellefteĆ„ connects to TravemĆ¼nde, Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Tilbury.

This sustainable sea route results in a 70% reduction in CO2 emissions per shipment, in comparison to road transportation, thereby assisting industries in achieving their Scope 3 targets.
