“K” LINE holds compliance liaison meeting

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) organized the eighth meeting of the Fair Competition Promotion Committee (a compliance liaison meeting) at Iino Building on March 7.

The goal of liaison meetings is to energize the “K” LINE Group’s compliance activities and share information. For this recent Liaison Meeting, 24 compliance personnel from 15 Group companies based in Japan gathered to actively exchange views on the latest trends and initiatives.

In the Liaison Meeting, a guest speaker from PwC Risk Advisory LLC was invited. They lectured on trends in corporate misconduct, misconduct risk management and data analysis, and demonstrated an analytic system.

The Liaison Meeting also included presentations on the compliance measures of individual companies and a question-and-answer session to further share information about these companies’ initiatives. The participants shared advice regarding compliance measures at different companies each other.

In response to the recent growth of public interest in compliance, the “K” LINE Group has established a compliance structure by collaborating with its Group companies. By fulfilling the demands of society and maintaining the stakeholders’ trust the Group aims for both its sustainable growth and increase of its corporate value.
