Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is further strengthening its presence in the United States, one of the world’s largest economies and a key logistics market.

With the opening of three new branches in Indianapolis, the Columbus metropolitan area, and the San Francisco Bay Area, the company is expanding its network to enhance customer proximity, deepen industry expertise, and support its strategic global growth ambitions.

U.S. business logistics costs reached approximately USD 2.4 trillion in 2025, representing around 7.8 percent of the country’s GDP and highlighting the market’s scale and long-term growth potential. At the same time, rising trade volumes continue to increase demand for reliable international transportation, customs expertise, and integrated supply chain solutions. To capture this growth potential, Hellmann is strengthening its position in the U.S. market as part of its strategy Forward2030, with a focus on selected industries and high-potential markets.

Hellmann established its presence in the United States in 1988 and, with the opening of its three new locations, the company now operates twelve branches nationwide. The Indianapolis branch, which is already operational, is designed to serve the automotive supply chain, serving tier 1 and tier 2 supplier networks with international sea freight, air freight and domestic road solutions. The new office in Columbus, Ohio, adds dedicated capabilities for the fashion and retail sector, while the new location near San Francisco International Airport brings Hellmann closer to customers in technology, semiconductor, electronics, cloud infrastructure and renewable energy. Together, the new offices complement Hellmann’s strategic market coverage across road, air, and sea freight while reinforcing its ability to deliver integrated, industry-specific logistics solutions in key U.S. growth markets.

“The United States plays a pivotal role in our global growth strategy. By opening new locations in strategically important markets, we are not only expanding our physical presence but also strengthening our ability to support customers with industry expertise and logistics solutions that are closer to where their business is growing,” says Mario Stecher, Managing Director U.S., Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.

Peter Hüwel, Regional CEO Americas, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, adds: “Building on Hellmann´s strategic direction, our U.S. Accelerator Program provides a clear framework to turn market potential into focused regional growth. By combining global network strength with local market insight, we are creating the right conditions to further scale our business in the U.S. and deliver long-term value for our customers.”
