Bollore organises CSR event in Loire

With the aim of raising awareness and uniting its teams, the Bolloré Logistics agency in the Paris-Centre region recently organized a CSR event in a nature reserve on the banks of the Loire.

The reserve has pastoral areas (formerly sand pits) with grasses on sand, with high biological value. To preserve it, it is necessary to regularly uproot invasive species that establish themselves there, such as brooms and other small shrubs. The teams therefore participated in this essential work which remains little or non-mechanizable.

Following the nature project, the employees went to the nearby Aire des Iles for a vegetarian picnic, prepared by a local artisan offering homemade dishes.

The afternoon was devoted to a workshop on the theme of modal shift with the Naviland Cargo teams, the largest French combined transport operator and part of Rail Logistics Europe, the freight and rail logistics division of the SNCF group.

It is true that the Centre region is at the heart of a vast rail development program for land transport of goods. A container terminal opened in Tours in August 2023 and that of Fleury-les-Aubrais is planned for 2025.

From then on, the Bolloré Logistics teams can propose the SMOOTHRIVER and FASTRAIL offers, which offer their customers pre and post river and rail transport reducing the carbon footprint of container deliveries. These modes of transport also make it possible to guarantee more fluidity thanks to faster access to maritime terminals and offer a remedy to the declining supply of road transport.

An awareness day rich in learning for teams resolutely committed to the energy transition and to an ever more efficient service offering for our customers.
