In a significant achievement for the power industry, Project Logistics Alliance member, Aproject Austria’s sister company, Aprojects demonstrated its expertise in Power Project Management by successfully overseeing the Port Handling Operations of a massive Generator and its Accessory Equipment at the Port of Charleston.

The company’s proven track record played a vital role in securing its position as the trusted partner for this critical project.

Weighing a staggering 422 metric tons or approximately 932,000 pounds, the loading of the Generator onto a Heavy Lift break-Bulk Vessel posed immense challenges. However, with the combined efforts of all involved parties, the operation was executed flawlessly. Utilizing a Floating Barge Crane, the Generator was meticulously loaded onto the vessel at Columbus Street Terminal, ensuring utmost precision and safety throughout the process. The complexity of the task demanded the highest level of skill and professionalism from all individuals involved.

Despite unpredictable weather conditions that could have potentially disrupted the operation, Aprojects successfully carried out the loading within a remarkably short timeframe. The company’s careful planning and seamless coordination among all stakeholders allowed the process to proceed without any interruptions. This enabled the vessel to embark on its voyage to Shanghai, China ahead of schedule.
