Altius delivers transformer from Turkey to Qatar

Altius SA, a member of the Project Logistics Alliance representing Argentina, Bolivia, and Spain, recently delivered a transformer unit and its accessories from Izmit, Turkey, bound for Hamad, Qatar.

The shipment, comprised of 62 pieces, was intended for use in a water treatment plant. The transformer alone weighed 71 tons and measured 7 x 4 x 4 meters with a combined weight of 130 tons, including the accessories.

Following a comprehensive evaluation of various factors and available options, the Altius team determined that transporting the cargo via flatracks bed would be the most cost-effective approach compared to other transportation alternatives.

For Altius, the successful completion of this shipment serves as another significant achievement, further establishing their expertise in project logistics.
