WWPC shows support for disadvantaged children
0Each year, when representatives from member companies of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) gather for their annual conference, the event focuses on networking and exploring new business opportunities.
Same time social consciousness of the group is manifested through an auction in support for disadvantaged children.
In 2011, WWPC launched a meaningful initiative to share this philosophy: a benefit auction held at each annual conference to support a carefully selected local charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged children. This tradition has since become an important aspect in WWPCās conferences.
The WWPC charity auctions are made possible through the generous contributions of WWPC member companies and the network, first-class ocean carriers, airlines, and other service providers in the project forwarding community. Their donations have helped raise nearly USD 400,000 to date, with all proceeds directly benefiting the chosen charities.
The Charities supported though the WWPC auctions over the years: 2011 Mumbai, India: Al-Jamiatul-Fikriya Educational Trust; 2012 SĆ£o Paulo, Brazil: Amamos Shelter House for Children; 2013 Prague, Czech Republic: Metabolic Childrenās Hospital; 2014 Phuket, Thailand: Hanseatic School for Life (formerly Beluga School for Life); 2015 Fuengirola, Spain: Infania; 2016 Panama City, Panama: Asociación Pro NiƱez PanameƱa; 2017 Cebu, Philippines: Albert Schweitzer Familienwerk Foundation Philippines, Inc.; 2018 Amsterdam, Netherlands: Princess MĆ”xima Center for Pediatric Oncology; 2019 Muscat, Oman: Association for the Welfare of Handicapped Children; 2022 Vienna, Austria: Clinic Clowns; 2023 Toronto, Canada: Mooreland Kids; 2024 Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: Tu Tam Home Shelter; 2025 Milan, Italy: Children in Crisis Italy.
