Comments Off on Ricky Wu named new Branch Manager of Gruber LogisticsWith a population of around 25 million and one of the largest container ports in the world, the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai is an important hub for international logistics companies such as Gruber Logistics.
This is why we have had an office there for more than a decade, in order to have a fixed hub for our import and export business in the Far East.
Ricky Wu has been working locally for Gruber Logistics for almost as long as we have been present in Shanghai. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in International Trading & Logistics, he has steadily risen through the ranks at the company and has been the new Branch Manager for our location in Shanghai since July 2024. Ricky Wu has his sights clearly set on his goals: My goal is to further increase our gross sales and profit margin over the next few years. On the one hand, we will do this by further developing our local activities, expanding the three-person team and anchoring the versatile Gruber Logistics Services more firmly in the market in order to win new customers. On the other hand, we are working on increasing the quality and scope of service for our existing clients and handling every project in the best possible way.
At the Shanghai location, Ricky Wu and his team are responsible for the following Gruber Logistics Services, among others: Sea, air, rail, breakbulk and RoRo options; Packaging; Customs clearance; Warehousing and distribution; Lorry deliveries.
Carsten Sommer, Executive Director Business Unit Project Cargo, Air & Ocean, also sees many opportunities for Ricky Wu and his team at the Shanghai site: With Ricky Wu, we now have a dynamic, young but already experienced manager at the head of our Chinese office. With the support of the entire Gruber Logistics network and the employees working in Shanghai, we see a lot of potential at the location.
