As far as F & H Managing Director Frank Menko is concerned, the long-term quality of Tadano cranes is beyond reproach.

“We’ve had a 220-tonne Tadano unit hard at work for a long time now, and we’ve always been able to fully depend on it and have had nothing but good experiences with it. That’s why deciding on this used ATF 180G-5 was tremendously easy – especially since we knew that it had undergone a thorough overhaul in Lauf and was accordingly in perfect condition,” he says while explaining why his company bought the crane, which he expects to be perfect for his company’s needs.

In fact, F & H will also be using the 180-tonne crane as a “smaller” crane without a counterweight transport vehicle for many of its projects. “And if you’re wondering why we chose a more powerful model in the form of the ATF 180G-5, the answer is that getting this Tadano machine second-hand came with a tremendous price advantage,” he says, pointing out that cost-effectiveness played an important role in the decision.

F & H will be using its ATF 180G-5 predominantly for concrete assembly projects, and the first job is actually scheduled already: The crane will be making its F & H debut at a work site in Göttingen.
