Rhenus unites three PartnerShip companies
0Rhenus is integrating its three German inland shipping companies, Rhenus PartnerShip GmbH & Co. KG, Rhenus PartnerShip Berlin GmbH, and Rhenus PartnerShip HANSE GmbH, within the Group.
Effective immediately, the companies will operate under a single umbrella brand: Rhenus PartnerShip Germany GmbH & Co. KG. As the legal successor to the three former entities, the company assumes all existing customer and partner contracts.
The merger aims to establish a unified and efficiently operating organization in the German market. In addition, the integration will streamline processes and enable the use of shared infrastructure. The seamless collaboration creates synergies in terms of resources and expertise, further strengthening the company’s competitiveness.
“Rhenus PartnerShip Germany combines strong regional expertise with an inland shipping fleet operating throughout Europe. This enables us to offer our customers comprehensive solutions for transport requirements in the field of project logistics,” says Mark Albrecht, Managing Director of Rhenus PartnerShip Germany.
“The merger allows us to respond even more flexibly to market developments and individual customer requirements,” adds Philip Tomaskowicz, Managing Director of Rhenus PartnerShip Germany.
As part of the merger, Rhenus is expanding its inland shipping fleet with proven, canal-compatible vessels that are approved for operations on the Rhine.
The motor cargo vessel BIVIO, to be renamed RHENUS SZCZECIN, has a carrying capacity of more than 1,300 tonnes and is currently operating on the Rhine between the ARA ports and the Ruhr region. The vessel is suitable for transporting general cargo, construction components, and GMP-compliant cargo.
The coupled convoy consisting of the motor cargo vessel ANTARO and the pusher barge ANTARO 1 will, in the future, operate under the names RHENUS HILDESHEIM and RHENUS HILDESHEIM 1 in the northern German canal network. Approved for GMP transports, the coupled convoy can carry more than 2,300 tonnes in total. Of this capacity, 1,300 tonnes are carried by RHENUS HILDESHEIM, while just over 1,000 tonnes are carried by RHENUS HILDESHEIM 1.
