In November 2022, Egypt hosted the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27), where participants aimed to build on previous successes and pave the way for future ambition to effectively tackle the global challenge of climate change.

PLA member representing Egypt, First Global Logistics, was proud to have played a role in a notable United Nations event of the year.

An event of this caliber requires extensive preparation and research to ensure its smooth execution and First Global team was ready to take on that challenge. Given the valuable nature of the cargo, it was vital to guarantee its safe and timely arrival while obtaining all necessary government approvals and adhering to strict security measures.

Thanks to their experienced team, the event equipment for several pavilions consisting of 13 air freight shipments with the total weight of 48 tons in 144 individual packages were competently delivered under a temporary customs clearance from the Cairo Airport to the Event Venue and after returned to the countries of origin in the EU, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates.

The scope of work included a multimodal transport and logistics model involving air freight and road freight, acquiring temporary import clearance, unloading, unpacking, re-packing, storing, reloading, and returning using the same model.

Despite encountering various challenges during the project, the First Global team was able to complete the requested work safely and on schedule for the grand opening.
